From the time I was a small child I have always “known” of the existence of spirits and had a fascination with the paranormal. Only through time, has it rendered me with the ability to gain more of an understanding of the paranormal and the coexistence that we live among.
I have had many personal “paranormal” experiences. For the longest time my “skeptic” side however would take over and I would rationalize the events so that I could make sense of them. I really wish I would have began journaling so many years back, many missing pieces would have fallen into place a lot sooner. I have been a seeker and a "sponge" in regards to my spiritual side. I have a hard time with mainstream religion, believing it is more about a relationship than a "Man Made, Man Written " RELIGION. I have studied, been mentored and am well read in all things paranormal.
Although still somewhat of a skeptic I believe it is important to give balance to the scientific research side and the “sensitive” side when investigating the paranormal. I have, so many times been in the company of other paranormal investigators, enthusiast' and the like, and when witnessing or reviewing evidence, seen them discard or accept said evidence without having or giving space to either of these sides. I believe both are needed to accurately investigate the paranormal effectively. That being said, proof may somewhat be in the pudding, as to per say, however if I am in a suspected haunted location and I “hear” a disembodied voice and yet my recorder doesn't, some weight will be given that a spirit tried to make contact. In being that "skeptic" let me elaborate...I 100% believe we are NOT alone and we are NOT the only beings! Period! I know this because of my experiences. However, not every "paranormal" experience is due to spirit. They stay rather busy, and are not always ready to POSE for that picture or speak to the little red light. However be rest assured they are so happy that there are MORE people embracing life after death.
I think so many times, we get so wrapped up in our day-to-day existence and we don't heed and learn from the lessons that God gives us during our short time here on earth. These lessons, I believe once learned gives great growth and strength to our souls. Sadly, however our abilities to react on our “gut feelings,” or communicate with the spirit world becomes tainted with the ignorance of our previous generations due to their own fear, stigma or just plan lack of knowledge on the subject of the paranormal, this indeed lends a trickle down effect from their generations as well. That being said, in reference to the spirit world making their presence known, we are definitely on a rise in a positive direction, spirit is making its presence known to those that seek it and to those whom don't. There are many people, like myself through their passions for the paranormal, will continue to give “time” to spirit and receive it's messages and visits with absolutely no expectations or desire for personal benefits.
There are those as well, who are non-believers. My thoughts on these individuals is, they have the right to believe what they want, as do I, and I enjoy their side and the discussions that ensue with them, however its the lack of their open mindedness, that troubles me, and I believe short changes them during their lifetime. However respect is given to them and their beliefs, just not shared.
I, for a long time tried to find a “fit,” or group to belong to in the paranormal community. Fate, I believe, stepped in and prevented me from finding my “mate”. I would never seem to have the same beliefs; interests or I would just have this “gut feeling,” that I just didn't belong. Sometime along this journey the doors began to open and like minded individuals began manifesting and great things started to take place! We begin developing the concept of TPR, The Paranormal Realm in 2006. We slowly began investigating, researching and honing our skills in many locations, we had many long discussions over our beliefs and experiences, and investigated some well known haunted locations, through all of this we found that we astoundingly blended very well to each other while in a research environment, each lending special abilities or talents to the investigations. We have since began to grow and add to this family of professional researchers, some were merely thrill seekers that faded off along the way and the others were true seekers of knowledge of spirituality THEY continue to persevere in this journey. Isn't that the way it should be, much like unconditional love..it is either there or it's not!
How are we, TPR, different than any other paranormal group/ investigators? To us its not about a competition, its not about supremacy between organizations, its about having a life long passion to effectively research, document and pursue our purpose of receiving communication from those who once was here on earth and beyond, and researching what we KNOW exist.
In the future, I believe the non-believers will decrease, the research of the paranormal will continue to grow, and more than anything I hope that respect and time is given more freely to those who reside among us.

I guess you could call me the used-to-be “skeptic” of the group. I joined this paranormal adventure with an open mind and with the thought
that “maybe” there is something more to the paranormal phenomenon that is occurring around the world. Through the many late nights of
hanging out in notorious haunted places and cemeteries, there have been a few situation’s that has made me think that maybe we do live
among something that is invisible to the naked eye.
For me to believe, I think it’s going to take seeing the holy grail of the paranormal, the full bodied apparition, although I can officially say I
have seen a "body of a person" standing where there was NONE. So yea I believe~
Through the use of the many different types of equipment we use, this enables us to research a location with possible paranormal activity
and in turn lends to the evidence that even a “skeptic” can believe.
I am one of the founders of The Paranormal Realm, along with my chief investigator role I am also fulfilling the role of technical support. I
presently set up the locations with all of the equipment and if it’s not working I am the one who will fix it.
I believe that with the many dedicated paranormal investigators out there, one of us will unveil this proof. With the passion that THE
PARANORMAL REALM members have I have a strong suspension we will without a doubt be a huge contributing factor!

When I was a young child, I had my very first encounter with the
paranormal. It was in Pennsylvania and my family was visiting and
staying with some family of mine in their home. There wasn't enough
bedrooms for everyone, so one of my cousins and I had to sleep in the
attic! I woke up around 3:30am every night we stayed and each time I
saw full bodied apparitions walking around in a circle performing some
sort of ritual. Scared me to death! Each day during the visit, us kids
would take a walk a few blocks over to look at this really scary house
that was reported to be haunted. I alone felt that every time I looked up at
this one certain window, I would see someone standing back away from
the window. On our last night there, I watched these two apparitions of a
man and woman float up to that window. These were solid white but
had perfect form! We ran away of course.
In the many years since, I have had other experiences seeing
apparitions and hearing disembodied voices and noises. I've had my
proof that paranormal activity really does exist, but now I want to help
others in their search for answers. There are still many unanswered
questions as to who these entities are, why they are here, and how we
can help them. My goal here in The Paranormal Realm is to help those
in need, the living and the dead, and to help research, investigate, and
document what I can to help find these answers!
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns that you
may have over the paranormal. We would love to help you in any way we
can.
David
I can’t even begin to say when my interest in the paranormal started. I have been interested in
it all my life. I do believe I have had experiences early in life, but like most parents mine told
me it was an over active imagination. So I spent quite a bit of my life trying to suppress it. I
don’t think it really did any good because I still experienced things I could not explain. I guess
I did learn to suppress it somewhere along the way. Now I strive to open up that insight
again. It is easy to suppress, but tough to get it back. So I would say be open with your kids
and listen to their experiences. They just may have a connection that needs to be trained and
not suppressed.
I have a passion about learning about other religions and studying the occult. You can study
this all your life and will just scratch the surface. The complexity is mind boggling and I have
learned that many do not understand their own religion. This is why theologians are still
trying to extract the real meanings.
Even as a child I would check out books from the library on the occult. I am no expert, but I am
well read and know more about it than the Average Joe. I have learned that things are not
what they appear to be at first glance. Once you break it down you can find the truth, but we as
a society tend to take things at face value. Even though I am a believer and I am still a
skeptic. This is because I know there is more to my experiences than what my first
impression happens to be. Using a phrase from the X-Files fits me perfectly, “the truth is out
there”.
TENA
I grew up with and still have some very superstitious family members. Every since I was a
little girl I can remember my family talking about seeing full bodied apparitions. When I was a
teenager, my brothers, cousins, and family friends used to go looking to see if we could find
some ghosts. This was in the hills of Tennessee and I think everyone in that small
community had a true (or so they say) ghost stories.
In the past few years David and I have been researching the paranormal and doing ghost
hunts. Some of them serious and some were for fun. We used to belong to a large ghosting
organization while we lived in Indiana and have taken classes on the basics and being team
leaders. We learned a lot from these and have had the chance to utilize this training.
On some occasions I have been fortunate enough to see a few ghosts (at least I think so) and
have a couple experiences I hope not to repeat. My plan is to continue to learn to build on
these experiences. I look forward to working with and sharing these experiences with
The Paranormal Realmso that we all may grow and learn new techniques of research in the
paranormal realm.

Ever since I was 5, I have been able to see, hear and talk to spirits.
There has always been an interest in the paranormal and researching
it's phenomenon.
As a kid I grew up in pentecostal environment and even tho i went to
church etc I always felt out of place; there was something inside me that
yearned to know more, kind of like unanswered questions...the ridicule
that came along with that was difficult...but my soul was unseated and
many of those around me didn't and couldn't understand, many would
call me weird, not because of the religion, it was based on my beliefs
and interests'.
Researching the unknown and unseen has always been a part of my
life and I have continued this research through- out the years through
various methods and means.

Stefan and I have been watching ghost hunting shows for years and
always joked that it would be something fun to do. A friend of ours
mentioned he had joined a group and shared some of his experiences so
now here we are! I would have to say that when I joined I was very much a
skeptic. I had a couple of experiences as a child but never thought much of
them before. We toured Waverly Hills a couple years ago and still was hard
pressed to believe that what I saw was real and not just my imagination. It
took hearing my first EVP at a private residence to really get my attention. A
voice on a recorder answering my questions when there was no one else
there. Who wouldn't stop and do a double take!
Since that day I have embarked on a spiritual journey. I now know and
believe that we are not alone. I have opened my mind to the possibility that
what we see with our eyes is only just that. I am a believer in Christianity
and have read many passages in the bible that support the existance of
spirits as well as those gifted with special abilities regarding spirits. I have
come to believe that we are mere children in this universe and that we are
not meant to understand the whys and hows. However I do also believe
that there are many things we can begin to understand, if only we open
ourselves to the possibility of their existance and be willing to let go of
traditional beliefs, skepticisms, and fears. Rather than believe the status
quo, I hope to continue to evolve in my beliefs and discover things for
myself.
